Welcome to StreamrTV: What It Is and How to Go Live in Seconds!

Aug 8, 2025

Let’s get you started with StreamrTV to discover what’s possible with peer-to-peer livestreaming, and get you LIVE in no time.

What is StreamrTV?

StreamrTV is a frictionless livestreaming tool built on the Streamr Network.

There are no accounts, subscriptions, or logins. Just click a button, start broadcasting from your device’s browser, and share the link with your audience. It’s fast, lightweight, and decentralized by default thanks to Streamr — meaning there’s no central server hosting your stream.

StreamrTV is designed for people who want a more direct, independent way to broadcast — creators, educators, communities, sports teams, or anyone tired of big tech.

And this is just the start — far more features like tipping, chat, recording, and community plugins are in the pipelines.

Why use StreamrTV at a glance?

One-click streaming: No subscriptions, downloads, or logins. Just click go live and stream straight from your phone or laptop browser.

Peer-to-peer delivery: Your stream reaches viewers without passing through central servers. Each viewer helps carry the stream forward — boosting stability and scalability.

End-to-end encryption: Your broadcast is protected by default. There’s no hidden back doors, and your stream metadata isn’t stored on a platform or server.

Easily sharable links: Each stream creates a unique link you can send to your audience instantly. No need for them to login or sign up to watch.

Under the hood: Streamr Network

All streams on StreamrTV are powered by the Streamr Network — a decentralised data transport protocol built for scale, speed, and resilience.

This means your stream doesn’t live on a single server — it’s dynamically distributed across a mesh of viewers. The more viewers you have, the stronger and more efficient the stream becomes.

It also means your stream grows stronger the more people that join it and can’t be bottlenecked or crash due to a server failure.
