Tools You’ll Need
BlackHole 16ch (free audio driver)
Step-by-Step Setup (Mac)
1. Route All Audio to OBS
Go to: System Settings → Sound → Output
Select: ✅ BlackHole 16ch
This sends your desktop audio into OBS — but you won’t hear it yet.

2. Create an Aggregate Device (Mic + System Audio)
Open: Audio MIDI Setup (Cmd + Space → search)
Click ➕ → Create Aggregate Device
Tick:
✅ BlackHole 16ch
✅ Your mic (MacBook or USB mic)
Rename it: OBS input device

OBS now captures both mic and desktop audio.
3. Create a Multi-Output Device (So You Can Hear Audio)
Still in Audio MIDI Setup:
Click ➕ → Create Multi-Output Device
Tick:
✅ BlackHole 16ch
✅ Your headphones (or speakers)
Enable Drift Correction on your headphones
Rename it: Hear game

Sends audio to your headphones and OBS.
4. Set Mac Output to the Multi-Output Device
Go to: System Settings → Sound → Output
Select: ✅ Hear game
You now hear the game, and OBS captures it too.
Important Tips:
Adjust headphone volume before switching to Hear game
macOS may lock low volume; if so, switch back, turn it up, then return to Hear game
Avoid changing output devices mid-stream — it may cut the audio until refreshed
5. Configure OBS
A. Video
Display Capture → name it “Game” → select your screen
Video Capture Device → name it “Webcam” → select your camera
Resize and position as needed
B. Audio
Audio Input Capture → name it “Mic + Game”
Device: OBS input device (your Aggregate Device)

6. Fix Mic Echo / Silence
OBS → ⚙️ Mixer Settings → Advanced Audio Properties
Set:
Mic + Game → Monitor Off
Mic/Aux → Monitor and Output

Ensures mic is audible on stream, without echo in your headphones.
7. Configure StreamrTV
In StreamrTV broadcast setup:
Camera = OBS Virtual Camera (start it in OBS)
Mic = BlackHole 16ch
This combines your mic and system audio into one stream input.
8. Browser Game Fix (Mac)
Play the game in: Safari
Run OBS + StreamrTV in: Chrome (or a different browser)
Prevents audio cutouts when browser tabs lose focus.

Tools You’ll Need
VB-Audio Cable (free virtual audio device)
Step-by-Step Setup (Windows)
*These instructions are AI generated and are in draft form and have not been widely tested. Please follow at your own discretion. If you encounter issues or know of better methods, we’d love your feedback to improve this guide.
1. Install VB-Audio Cable
Download & install VB-Cable
Reboot your PC after install
Adds a virtual audio device (CABLE Input) to route audio through.
2. Set VB-Cable as Default Output Device
Go to: Settings → System → Sound → Output
Set default device: CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)
Sends all system/game audio into the virtual cable for OBS.
3. Set Up OBS Audio Sources
Game/System Audio:
Audio Input Capture → name: “System Audio”
Device: CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)
Microphone:
Audio Input Capture → name: “Mic”
Device: your mic (USB or built-in)
Optional: Combine in OBS or mix via VoiceMeeter.
4. Monitor Audio Locally
You won’t hear your game by default when using VB-Cable.
To fix:
Go to: Control Panel → Sound → Recording → CABLE Output → Properties
Listen tab → ✅ “Listen to this device”
Playback device: your headphones/speakers
Lets you hear everything while streaming.
Some latency may occur — VoiceMeeter can reduce this.
5. Configure StreamrTV
In StreamrTV:
Camera = OBS Virtual Camera (start it in OBS)
Mic = CABLE Output or VoiceMeeter Output
Sends combined mic + game audio to StreamrTV.
6. Browser Game Fix
If audio cuts out when the game tab loses focus:
Play game in: Microsoft Edge
Run OBS + StreamrTV in: Chrome or Firefox
This prevents tab focus issues.
And that's it! With just a few tools and a simple setup, you can go live with full mic, game, and webcam support in minutes. And with StreamrTV’s peer-to-peer tech, your viewers help scale the stream — meaning smoother playback for everyone. Try it out, experiment with your setup, and start streaming today.
